Patrice Blais is a general practice lawyer with experience in various areas including but not limited to immigration, labour law, union accreditation and certification, employee rights, non-profit corporate law, incorporation, bankruptcy, civil litigation, and criminal defence.
Goals and Challenges
Prior to the re-launch the Patrice Blais website was difficult to maintain, support, and would have been expensive to continuously develop due to lack of an organized framework. Successful product design has always integrated extensive analysis and broad creativity. With this in mind we developed a clean and elegant design and searched for a content management system that would be easy to maintain. By choosing to develop with Wordpress we where able to allow some one on Patrice Blais' staff to act as the web manager.
Throughout the re-design of Patrice Blais website, we used agile development cycles and took advantage of many contributed Wordpress extensions. Many extensions were either slightly or heavily modified and custom extensions were created where needed. As we continue to develop with Wordpress, we are more impressed with its performance, robustness and organization. This is a enterprise class application that has proven to be very lightweight.
