Goals and Challenges
Productions Boquer asked OpenCo's team to design a simple yet elegant slide show solution for aspiring Montreal artist Michel Langlois. They where seeking a system that that would optimize the user experience.
Our team conducted intensive interviews with Michel Langlois and Productions Boquer to define the business goals and core requirements of the new system. This insight was then augmented with competitive industry analysis, focus group investigation, a full content inventory, and technical analysis of existing metrics.
We found that Michel Langlois potential customers were separated into two groups end consumers and art galleries; with art galleries comprising the larger share of the potential market. To be successful, the system would require the delivery of not only elegant visuals but massive amounts of images. Also to further differentiate Michel Langlois we saw that rather than a public website a private, invitation only system was a must. To this end we developed a DVD media experience instead of a website.
