Gabriel Somma
Gabriel Somma is an up and coming environment artist in the Montreal Game design world. Upon graduating from The National Animation and Design Centre in Montreal he needed a clean and dynamic way of presenting his creations. This portfolio site was developed for his clients and interested observers.
Goals and Challenges
Gabriel Somma's website needed to convey a simple message of quality. The critical goal was to present users with a simple way to access his professional portfolio. Up until this time, he had only presented this with a Flickr account. We realized that rather then migrating away from Flickr and needing to adapt to new system, building a site around the existing galleries would be best.
Using the Flickr API we where able to directly integrate the existing setup that was on Flikr. All existing sets became galleries. With this setup when an image is added to his Flickr stream it is directly added to the site at the same time, there by simplifying work flow.
